Intuitive..

This is Phir Mile Sur song which is a tribute to the actual ‘Mile sur’ song from the doordarshan period. The original will always be the best that is for sure yet this new version does the bringing back the memories role pretty well :D I especially like the part were the deaf and dumb kids say in their language ‘Mile sur mera tumhara toh sur bane humara’ so touching. This is a patriotic song insisting the importance of oneness in a diversified country like India.

Intuition is an amazing thing. Many times I have experienced the intuitions that has worked ;) from tini-tiny issues to big matters. Lemme say when I am thinking about a particular song somehow the song will be aired in the channel I was watching and this has happened many times ;) So it is true that when you wish for something with true heart be sure to get it right away. Kids have more of foreseeing and intuition than us. My nephew will say ‘Thatha thatha..’ when my father would have just entered the street to home. So tell me about your intuitive experiences fellas..

Current Song – Un Mela Aasaithan from Aayirathil oruvan >>>

Dil Aur Jaan

You cannot imagine how many things happened in the last 15 days. Everything was like a dream. And everything contributed to a fortnight full of celebrations :D First came Thai Pongal and then came my Birthday :D We went to Aayirathil oruvan movie as a gang and I really enjoyed the movie. The idea, concept, the extraordinary thinking and skilled work to make the vision clear to audience – all this makes it one of the best movies i ever watched. Brilliant creation, an idea close to Tamil history and a tribute to Tamil people’s values, tradition, bravery, pride, etc.. Then came a special occasion, my cousin’s engagement, the same day some interesting and joyful other things happened which lead to more happy moments. Then came my nephew’s birthday :D we took pink shervani for him, he looked adorable and cute as always. Then came another celebration which would define my future life and it would alter the course of my life.  Some memorable events followed. If you cannot understand or guess what had happened i am not the one to help you ;) Anyways its all related to the one most important thing in everyone’s life.

Someone recently dedicated this song to me and so here it is..

Budding Life

காட்டு வழியில்
கருகிய தேசத்தில்
பூத்து நிற்கும் வெள்ளை பூக்கள்
உயிரின் ஆரம்பமாக..

:D

In the forest path
Among the burnt residue
Emerging are the white flowers
As a symbol of new life.

Will be away from home for more than 10 days I guess. So here is my before break note and current song will be ‘Yellow – Coldplay’ >>

Time and Again

Here is a review of the book “Time and Again” by Jack Finney and Princess scribbles about one of her favorite quote in the book. Time travel always has an untold charm and past always has a beauty like a preserved black and white photograph. Time and again is a lovely tale and every detail has been researched to be a true fact and if not true at least close to reality. You can literally travel along with the lead character ‘Si’ into his world may it be the 20th century or the year 1882 to which he traverses. The author is very much descriptive about each and every minute detail so picturing the scene is not at all tough and making it easy is the fact that the book is an illustrated novel. The thrill, the knots, the twists everything makes it a great book with lot of surprises. Occasionally you may feel bored for it is too descriptive about everything ‘Si’ looks at. At a particular point in the story when ‘Si’ is in the past i.e 1882 while he is traveling in a horse car he remembers -

I once talked with a friend who’d spent a vacation in Paris;
like most people he’d loved the city, walking it every day till his
legs trembled, pleased with nearly everything he saw. But it
wasn’t till he’d been there nearly two weeks that one morning
Paris and its people suddenly became something more than a
background for his vacation, He was sitting in a cafe, out on the
walk, having a tiny cup of Paris-tasting, Paris-smelling coffee,
watching traffic stream by, pleased as always with the countless people on bikes expertly threading their way between and around the cars and buses and trucks. Then a traffic light changed, the stream stopped and waited, and a man on a bike, one foot on the pavement, lifted his arm and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. And he turned real. In that instant he was no longer a quaint part of a charming background; he turned into a real man, tired from pumping that bike, and for the first time it occurred to my friend that there was a reason so many people picturesquely rode bikes through the heavy traffic, and the reason was to save bus fare and because they couldn’t afford cars. After that, for the few days that were left to him there, my friend continued to enjoy Paris. But now it was no longer an immense travel poster but a real city, because now so were its people.

This is an interesting observation and like the author puts it you suddenly realize the actuality of people and their sufferings in whichever part of the world you may go. Somehow of all the other wonderful things I got to know and enjoy from this book, this particular part kept lingering and so it must be very important, right! The beauty remains with knowing people better.

A Bit Of Rahman

A bit of rahman is never enough I know. Though everyday of mine is in someway connected to rahman’s music, this day on the special occasion of Rahman’s Birthday I try to remember his musical gems which are not main stream songs like the ones having 3.5 or more minutes duration. I love music and Rahman is the one musician whose music I adore a lot.

Indhirayo – Kadhalan

Vidukadhaya – Muthu

Nee Mazhai – Ayudha ezhuthu

Lukka Chuppi – Rang De Basanti

Hum hai is pal instrumental – Kisna

Nisarisa – Jeans

Ulunthu Vidhakayile – Mudhalvan

En Azhagenna – Minsara Kanavu

Uyire – Bombay

Mangalyum – Alaipayuthey

My thirst for music never fades… love you  lot Music :D Endrendrum punnagai is my ringtone now :D it means “Always Smile” smile and spread the smile away people.. much luv to Music as always..

Stay Away

Its all about how we act or react. I have been around people who can make you feel extremely glad having met them. On the contrary there are others who despite being around us never even try to make you feel better. I mean they pretend to try but that’s not going to happen. You know when someone is not true to you. It is a gift. Sometimes it is better not to know the betrayal than think it over and over again and feel sick. These people have this negative kind of energy that they succeed effectly in making you sad eventhough it is not actually you who is sad. They come to you to get some consolation start blabbering all kind of obstacles they are facing what all bad things happened in their family and if not in family they tell stories from whichever source the bad news variety. Many times I avoid watching news for the simple reason they don’t really tell anything good happened here and all, most of the time it is about death and suffering. Is it not enough trouble we are facing alread! Anyways it is best to say no to them and plan foolproof strategies to get rid of them or at least avoid them when they come asking for consolation or advice. Who are we to give advice after all ;)

Be Good

This Decade's first moon
Heya fellas, This decade’s first impression on my blog. Really wanted to write an inspiring note yesterday ;) you know nah! how busy new year day is with all the TV channels and special programmes; though nothing worked out interesting. On new year eve I was watching James Bond 007 movie “Quantum of Solace” – like the previous one there is lot of chasing and drama and they finish the movie without concluding the story. Last year’s movie “Pirates of Caribbean – At world’s End” was awesomely thrilling and interesting to watch than this years :D It is like yesterday that the new millennium 2000 began, I still have the pen my father gave me which had the happy millennium 2000 design on it. So far that was the best new year celebration I had. Now new year days feels like just another day and the only thing we do is change the calendars. I did try cooking in the afternoon which turned out pretty well, I mean spicy the way I like it. Me and my sis did it. The menu was Pulka and Cauliflower gravy :P no photos yaar, sorry I totally forgot the option of photography because of the involvement you see ;) And as January 1st night came the moon was beautifully yellowish beaming as I was sitting outside calling and wishing friends and family. Cameras don’t capture the beauty as such :( see how small my moon looks whereas for plain eyes it looked marvellously big and charming :D So the new decade has begun with a glowing full moon and shows promise for the coming days I feel. Well the SMS I sent using my brain and memory :) for possible words starting with the letter ‘D’ is as follows, the same message I am sending your way to all my friends in the versatile virtual venue called World Wide Web:

“Have a dazzling dreamy dutiful divine dynamic decade ahead :) Happy New Year and Happy New Decade”

And my post is not complete without a cherishing celebration song which is Vennilave Velli Velli Nilave from Vettaiyadu Vilayadu – the initial lines mean “O moon! O silver moon!, wherever I go you are coming with me, O moon! O silver moon!, you bring with you the whole crue of stars”. My resolution you may ask, though I didn’t take any by writing a list of things to do, the basic line which I wanted to follow was “To Be Good and To Do Good” :D Have a pleasant day people.. chao..

Selfish.. Am I..?

It is a stupid thought or may be the exact opposite ;) Everyone has an image about their own self and most of the time the perspective with which we see and understand is based on this self. We are almost all the time very concious about this self and the exception may be attributed to only the time we sleep that to has dreams were you are again being your self. So it is undeniably true we are concious about and care the most about ourself than others and there comes the selfishness. I think in extreme selfishness there is hidden selflessness. And in extreme selflessness there is hidden selfishness. For example: when you are too selfish that you don’t want to help out others in certain things fearing they might come up fast than you, you are indirectly helping them learn their own way by struggle and hence evolve as a better person, whereas when you care too much and are ready to do whatever they want you are indirectly creating obstacles and prevent them from learning things by themselves and then evolve as a person. You will make it even more hard for them when you leave them and go.

“Be who you are, no matter what; life always teaches the necessary lessons sometimes you are little late to learn it”
